Part-Time Assistant Head Technician, Audio

Join the UBC team as a Part-Time Assistant Head Technician in Audio. Manage audio setups, supervise staff, and ensure seamless performances at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts.

This role at UBC requires a dedicated professional to oversee audio operations during events. You will supervise stage technicians, resolve client needs, and ensure compliance with production policies. You’ll also represent the Chan Centre while ensuring patron safety and satisfaction during events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise audio department operations at the Chan Centre

• Assist in scheduling and training production staff

• Address client issues in staging and backstage areas

• Compile and submit performance reports as required

• Ensure safety and security of the venue during events

Requirements:

• Diploma in arts production or equal experience

• Minimum five years in related production roles

• Proficiency in Stage Lighting and Management necessary

• Skills in Live Audio preferred but not required

• Willingness to uphold diversity and equity standards
