Lead the Environment Surfacing Team at Netflix Animation Studios, creating immersive animated film environments. Utilize your artistic expertise to develop stunning visuals that align with production goals.

As an Environment Surfacing Supervisor, you will be integral to our upcoming feature film, overseeing the look of digital environments, sets, and props. Collaborate with key team members to ensure textures and materials meet both artistic vision and technical specifications. Your leadership will guide artists in creating visually engaging settings that enhance storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise environment surfacing for digital assets

• Collaborate with Production Designers and Art Directors

• Lead reviews of textures and shading for quality assurance

• Mentor surfacing artists and provide actionable feedback

• Refine surfacing workflows and tools in partnership with technology teams

Requirements:

• Significant experience in lookdev for environments

• Proficiency in Mari, Substance Painter, and Maya

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Deep understanding of animation and VFX production
