Expert Lighting Artist

Join 2K Sports Lab in Vancouver as an Expert Lighting Artist, shaping narratives through innovative lighting. Your artistic and technical skills will enhance both gameplay and visual storytelling.

As part of a passionate team established in 2023, you will partner with the Lead Lighting Artist to execute lighting direction aligned with the project's artistic vision. This role focuses on designing immersive lighting using Unreal Engine and transforming references and mood boards into captivating in-game atmospherics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with leads to define lighting direction

• Design real-time lighting for immersive gameplay

• Transform artistic references into atmospheric lighting

• Partner with artists for appealing asset-light responses

• Evaluate and refine lighting tools and workflows

Requirements:

• Minimum of one AAA game shipped

• Extensive Unreal Engine lighting knowledge

• Strong grasp of color theory and light behavior

• Experience with real-world lighting principles

• Collaborative attitude and effective communication skills
