We are looking for a Technical UI Designer like you to join us in our mission to create amazing games and experiences, and to enhance ourselves and our craft. You will report to our Studio Line Director, Design. We are considering on‑site and hybrid working options for candidates.
What You’ll Do- Design and implement UI systems for Battlefield, using visual scripting in the Frostbite engine.
- Implement HUD components, UI widgets, and UI animations to design specifications.
- Partner with engineers and artists to refine the UI, ensuring the implementation is the best technically, visually, and for usability.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with others across crafts about UI work.
- Document UI pipelines and mentor others, promoting knowledge sharing within our team.
- Participate in peer reviews by both providing and receiving constructive feedback.
- 3+ years of experience designing and implementing UI for shipped games or interactive products.
- 3+ years of experience as a front-end or UI scripter.
- Expertise in visual scripting and modern UI frameworks, working with game editors like Frostbite, Unreal, or Unity.
- Experience integrating player feedback and analytics into UI improvements.
- Experience documenting technical processes and implementation flows.
- Collaborative, creative problem-solver.
Pay range (British Columbia – Vancouver): $104,500 - $142,800 CAD.
Benefits include 3 weeks vacation per year, 10 days sick time, paid top‑up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary for new child, 12 weeks maternity, 4 weeks parental/adoption leave, extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, a retirement plan. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
