Compensations: $80K – 90K /year plus performance-based bonus

Position OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Cost Accountant who will be a key contributor in managing and analyzing inventory-related financial data. In this role, you will work closely with operational teams and leadership to ensure cost accuracy, develop costing models, and support ongoing financial planning. Working under the guidance of the CFO, you will help maintain consistent cost controls and reporting practices that support business decisions.
MainDuties
- Oversee and review inventory cost activity at monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting periods.
- Track and maintain supply inventory records, ensuring values are recorded correctly and in a timely manner.
- Partner with production, logistics, and receiving departments to optimize and standardize cost capture processes.
- Conduct routine physical inventory checks and reconciliations.
- Support the implementation and refinement of the ERP inventory module, collaborating with IT and department leads.
- Prepare regular cost reports and analysis with a focus on inventory valuation and cost trends.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in cost accounting, ideally within a manufacturing or seafood processing environment.
- CPA (or equivalent designation) completed or in progress.
- Knowledge of the Japanese language is an asset.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including data handling and analysis.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory control procedures.
- Strong analytical thinking, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working across teams and communicating financial information clearly.
- Experience in seafood processing, production, or plant operations is a strong asset.
- Collaborative, proactive approach and willingness to be involved in day-to-day operations.
