Associate Mortgage Underwriter – Third Party Residential Underwriting – TDMS BC
We are hiring an Associate Mortgage Underwriter for Third Party Residential Underwriting – TDMS BC.
Reporting to the Manager, Third Party Residential Underwriting.
Full‑time position.
Salary range: $48,842–$73,262.
Hours of work: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Location:
Vancouver, BC.

- Eligibility for benefits is dependent on terms of employment.
- Support underwriting and credit decision process by reviewing documentation and applying due diligence.
- Escalate inaccuracies, issues, or incomplete items that present risk.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with mortgage brokers, mortgage insurers, appraisers, title insurance companies, and solicitors.
- Collect required documents to satisfy mortgage commitment conditions.
- Verify accuracy of documentation related to income, down payment, and property, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines.
- Document clear and complete notes within the mortgage underwriting system.
- Respond to inquiries within established turnaround times.
- Adhere to AML policies and procedures.
- Completed post‑secondary education or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience in the financial services sector preferred.
- Experience in the mortgage industry is an asset.
- Completion of Mortgage Agent Course and/or FSRA License an asset.
- Working knowledge of PC software in a Windows environment.
- Experience reviewing income, down payment, and property documents (e.g., tax returns, business financials, investment statements, purchase contracts).
- Office environment.
- High volume periods with tight timelines.
- Long periods of stationary sitting, repeated keyboard/mouse use, extended screen time.
- Multi‑tasking, including telephone calls while accessing computer information.
