The Job
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and serving as a key member of the
Senior Leadership Team, the Executive Vice President, Finance (EVP, Finance) acts as LGM’s Chief Financial Officer. This executive will provide strategic direction and oversight of all financial operations to support the company’s continued growth, stability, and long-term success. The EVP, Finance will oversee accounting, financial reporting, treasury, actuarial services, taxation, budgeting, and audit, while ensuring strict adherence to IFRS accounting standards and SOX compliance.
This individual will act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and
Senior Leadership Team, providing financial insight and strategic guidance that drives performance and value creation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership and Business PartnershipPartner with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to shape and execute the corporate strategic plan.Provide financial insight and strategic recommendations to support growth and profitability.Evaluate financial implications of new business initiatives, investments, and products.Promote a proactive, results-driven, and values-based leadership culture.2. Financial Management and ReportingLead all financial operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.Ensure compliance with IFRS and SOX reporting standards and regulatory requirements.Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation processes to align with corporate strategy.Maintain strong internal controls and oversee timely completion of audits.3. Treasury, Cash, and Investment OversightManage cash flow, treasury, and investment portfolios to ensure liquidity and capital efficiency.Negotiate and maintain effective banking and financing relationships.Oversee management of trust funds and investments in coordination with external advisors.4. Taxation, Audit, and Risk ManagementProvide leadership in corporate, sales, and payroll taxation across multiple jurisdictions.Oversee external and internal audit processes to ensure compliance and transparency.Manage corporate insurance coverage, renewals, and enterprise risk management frameworks.5. People Leadership and Department DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop the Finance, Payroll, and Actuarial teams to achieve departmental excellence.Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Implement effective succession planning and professional development strategies.6. Systems, Processes, and Operational ExcellenceDrive automation, process improvement, and system integration initiatives across Finance.Ensure the financial infrastructure supports organizational scalability, accuracy, and efficiency.Implement robust financial models and controls for new business lines and acquisitions.7. External Relations and Stakeholder ManagementMaintain and strengthen relationships with auditors, banks, insurers, OEMs, and other key partners.Review and approve major contracts and ensure accurate maintenance of the contract registry.Represent the Finance function as a strategic and trusted partner to internal and external stakeholders.8. Special Projects and Strategic InitiativesLead financial due diligence and integration for mergers, acquisitions, and business combinations.Support enterprise-wide strategic and innovation initiatives to drive long-term growth.Executive Leadership
