Vancouver, BC (Hybrid – 4 days in office)

Overview:
You’ll oversee financial reporting, treasury, regulatory reporting, corporate tax, and indirect tax—everything except FP&A and payroll. You’ll be supported by an assistant controller, accounting manager, and accounting team, giving you the room to focus on leadership, strategy, and big-picture execution.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Own the financial close, reporting, treasury, and regulatory filings.

Serve as a signing officer and key finance leader in a regulated brokerage environment.

Partner with the VP of Finance and senior leadership to drive strategic decisions.

Lead modernization and process improvement initiatives across systems and controls.

Coach and develop your team while setting the tone for excellence and accountability.

Be the VP’s trusted right hand and eventual successor.

What You Must Have:

CPA with strong technical accounting and leadership experience.

Background in regulated financial services (ideally CIRO or self-clearing brokerage).

Comfortable with complexity, ambiguity, and a fast-moving environment, “a brokerage never sleeps.”

Thick skin and cultural adaptability; confident presenting to executives.

Exceptional work ethic and organizational skills; you get things done.

Ambitious, bright, and ready for more, someone who ultimately wants the VP seat.

Able to be in the office about 4 days a week; visibility and presence matter here.

Salary: $170,000 CAD
