Senior Actuarial Analyst

We're looking for an Actuary or Senior Actuarial Analyst to provide actuarial oversight and governance in a complex, dynamic organization. This role involves conducting independent reviews of high-impact initiatives across pricing and corporate actuarial functions.

• Conduct independent reviews of actuarial work, including rate indications, reserving, financial reporting, and predictive modeling
• Ensure all analyses meet Canadian actuarial standards and best practices
• Lead significant projects, mentor junior staff, and perform peer reviews
• Produce clear, actionable reports highlighting key risks and recommendations
• Present complex actuarial results to senior leaders and stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to improve actuarial methods, processes, and efficiency

What you bring

• Degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, or a related field
• 4+ years of relevant actuarial experience
• Near-Fellow or Fellow designation (for Actuary) or Associate-level credentials (for Senior Actuarial Analyst)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Advanced Excel proficiency; familiarity with Python, SQL, R, VBA, SAS, or PySpark is a plus
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to challenge assumptions confidently
