Based in Vancouver, our client is a privately held real estate organization with decades of experience in property development, ownership, and management. The company specializes in residential and mixed-use projects, with a strong focus on long-term value, meaningful relationships, and community-driven development guided by people-first values.

About the Position
Reporting to the CFO, the corporate controller will be responsible for leading a team of 5 accountants, some of the duties include but are not limited to:

Oversee full-cycle accounting across multiple entities

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting under ASPE and IFRS.

Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, budgets, and variance analysis

Maintain cash flow forecasts to support operational and strategic planning

Work closely with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.

Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and reporting requirements

Coordinate with external auditors and liaise with CRA on GST and tax matters

Oversee tax filings for corporations, partnerships, joint ventures, and trusts

Maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.

Review and approve payroll, taxable benefits, and regulatory filings.

Oversee T4s, T4

As, WCB, EHT, and related submissions

Requirements

Designated CPA

7+ years of accounting experience

Public practice experience is required.

Real estate experience is required.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $150,000 to $170,000
