Key Responsibilities

Combine corporate tax work with structured and virtual learning.

Get experience in tax compliance, tax accrual review, calculating income tax provision and tax planning.

Focus on main issues affecting clients, paying particular attention to implementation of tax strategies aligned with their business objectives.

Contribute to client satisfaction by providing quality, timely and responsive services and work products.

Demonstrate an understanding of increasingly complex tax concepts.

Discuss moderately complex tax issues with the engagement team and client management.

Stay informed of current tax developments and apply tax knowledge to client situations.

Thoroughly and accurately analyze information.

Prepare practical and effective approaches to the client’s tax situation and arrive at appropriate conclusions.

Share tax planning ideas with others.

Participate in and contribute to achieving team goals.

Assist in development of recommendations and implementation plans and assist in making quality decisions in complex areas.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, preferably with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Accounting designation or Master’s degree.

Experienced Senior—minimum 3 years of CDN Corporate tax experience or equivalent experience.

Broad exposure to corporate income taxation.

Ability to research and write utilizing electronic tax tools.

Excellent managerial, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.

Salary
Salary range for this role in British Columbia is $65,500 to $108,000. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and work location city.
