The Assistant Controller will play a key role in the finance team, supporting accurate financial reporting, compliance with IFRS, and effective internal controls. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this role requires a CPA‑designated professional with strong technical accounting expertise and experience in the natural resource sector. The successful candidate will be hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic, project‑based environment.

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS
• Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals
• Account for exploration and development activities, including cost tracking
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial variance analysis
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations across multiple currencies, including reporting requirement for hyper inflationary countries
• Support audit, tax, and regulatory filings by preparing schedules and working papers
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and consultants
• Assist the Corporate Controller with financial analysis, reporting, and special projects
• Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes, systems, and internal controls

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Minimum 6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the natural resource, mining, or exploration and development industry
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS
• Experience with Sage 300 is a strong asset
• Spanish language proficiency is considered an asset
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Professional judgment, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential information
