Typical Scope:

The Project Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of specific projects within a company. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed within budget, on time, and in compliance with financial regulations.

Core Responsibilities:

Manage and track project budgets, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project objectives

Perform cost analysis and forecasts, identifying potential risks and opportunities to keep projects on financial track

Prepare timely and accurate invoices, project reports, and financial statements for internal and external stakeholders

Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal policies, safeguarding the company’s financial interests

Work closely with project managers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless financial operations across projects

Key

Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in project accounting

CPA designation preferred

Familiarity with accounting standards (IFRS or GAAP)

Tech-savvy with strong MS Excel expertise and exposure to ERP software (MS D365, Net Suite, etc.)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly

A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate issues and take corrective action.

Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
