About the position

Haywood Securities Inc. is seeking an experienced Manager, Fee Based Products to join our team in our Vancouver office Reporting to the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, this position plays a key role in supporting fee-based advisory investments s position is responsible for the administration, monitoring, and operational support of managed accounts, and advisory fee programs, ensuring compliance with CIRO regulations, firm policies, and client service standards.

The role also serves as a subject matter expert for advisors and internal partners on fee-based products and platforms.

Responsibilities include:

Fee-Based Account & SMA Administration
  • Support the ongoing maintenance and administration of fee-based accounts, including fee calculations and processing.
  • Ensure accurate fee group setup, reconciliation, and exception resolution for fee-based accounts.
  • Ongoing administration of SMA platform, including SMA fee set-up, calculation, processing and posting, & production tickets.
  • Producing monthly SMA performance numbers report.
Product & Platform Support
  • Act as a subject matter expert on fee-based platforms, managed solutions, model portfolios, and third-party investment managers.
  • Provide guidance to Investment Advisors and branch staff on program eligibility, features, pricing, and operational processes.
Compliance & Risk Management
  • Monitor fee-based accounts for adherence to regulatory requirements, firm policies, and best practices.
  • Identify and escalate potential compliance, suitability, or billing issues.
  • Assist with audits, regulatory inquiries, and internal reviews related to fee-based products.
Qualifications & Experience Education & Licensing
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Registered as an RR required.
  • Supervisory courses an asset.
  • Additional designations (e.g., CIM or CFA) considered an asset.
Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in brokerage operations, wealth management, or investment services.
  • Strong hands-on experience with fee-based, discretionary, or managed account programs in a Canadian brokerage environment.
  • Familiarity with CIRO regulations, KYC/KYP, suitability, and fee disclosure requirements.
  • Strong understanding of fee-based investment products and advisory platforms.
  • High attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with advisors and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with brokerage systems, portfolio management platforms, and Microsoft Office – advanced Excel skills required.

Compensation:

$80,000 - $120,000, based on experience and qualifications
