Finance + Office Manager
LWPAC Architects is looking for a Finance + Office Manager to join our Vancouver studio and help build the operational foundation of a growing, design‑led practice. This role is well suited to someone with experience in consulting, real estate development, construction, or professional services finance who enjoys both analytical work and hands‑on execution. LWPAC is at the forefront of mass‑timber and low‑carbon housing, currently delivering some of the tallest timber buildings in Canada.
From our Kitsilano studio, we work across BC and Ontario on complex urban housing projects that require clear financial thinking, disciplined execution, and integrated decision‑making. This position will start at the Manager level, with flexibility to begin part‑time and transition to full‑time. As the firm continues to expand, there is a clear opportunity for the role to evolve in scope, influence, and leadership for someone interested in growing with the organization.
You’ll Do
- Manage core accounting functions: invoicing, AR/AP, cash flow, and financial reporting
- Support project financial tracking, fee analysis, and business‑model studies
- Oversee time and project tracking systems (e.g. CMAP, Monograph, BQE)
- Support SR&ED and innovation funding documentation
- Work closely with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning
- Help refine internal systems as the firm scales
- 3+ years’ experience in consulting, development, construction, or professional services finance
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Strong Excel and financial systems skills (Quick Books)
- Comfortable operating in a small, growing organization where responsibilities evolve
- Interested in expanding beyond a narrowly defined role over time
- CPA designation or progress toward one is an asset
- Salary range $80,000–$100,000, commensurate with experience
