We are looking for a Quantitative Research Analyst to join our fast-paced and entrepreneurial Quantitative Equity team! We are a high-performance team embedded in a top-performing quant fund that manages over $75 billion in financial assets. WhatYou Will Do
As a member of the quantitative research team, you will help tackle a broad array of challenges at the Intersection of finance, data science, and technology. We seek to identify novel predictors of business outcomes and model complex inefficiencies in constantly evolving financial markets. Our focus is on developing cutting edge and uniquely powerful investment insights.
This is an exciting role for an individual who is passionate about quantitative research and wants to apply a disciplined and scientific approach to investing. You will work with key decision makers on the team and have a broad range of responsibilities, including:
- Research and development of new investment models
- Generating ideas for new investment insights
- Apply a variety of skills and techniques in finance, data science and statistics
- Collaborate with our technology, portfolio management and investment process teams to deliver exceptional investment performance
- Domain Expertise – You have a deep understanding of the drivers of business success, securities valuation, and markets. You can effectively apply both creativity and discipline to sourcing and evaluating novel data sets that are useful for predicting the performance of companies and securities.
- Analytical Mindset – You have experience with producing rigorous quantitative research, particularly in finance, and are adept at balancing intuition with statistical validation.
- Academic Training – At a minimum, an undergraduate degree in finance, mathematics, statistics, computer science or related discipline. Graduate level studies are valuable in this role. Exceptional achievements and recognition (e.g., research or awards) are helpful in demonstrating your abilities.
- Collaborative Approach – You thrive in a collaborative environment and value shared success. You proactively solicit and provide input and excel at communicating complex and technical concepts.

The annual base salary for this position is $125,000 - $200,000 for new graduates. Our compensation and benefits package includes substantial variable compensation in the form of a year-end bonus, RRSP contribution matching, health benefits, and family building benefits. Compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
