Senior Financial Analyst, SPS Finance

Amazon's World-Wide Fulfillment By Amazon (WW FBA) organization is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive Senior Financial Analyst to support the Amazon Warehousing & Distribution (AWD) product, engineering, and program leadership team. This Finance professional will contribute to AWD's growth by providing strong analytical support and operational insights, working comfortably in ambiguous environments and helping challenge the status quo across one of FBA's most critical cost and seller-experience functions.

The ideal candidate will thrive in ambiguous situations, balancing attention to detail with awareness of the broader business context. They will play a key supporting role in some of our organization's most visible mechanisms and artifacts (e.g., weekly business reviews, quarterly business reviews, annual operating plans, 3-year vision plans). They will work closely with AWD Product, Tech, and Operations leadership to support operational processes (Business Reviews, Finance and Operations, Goal Management), people-driven programs, and technical programs (ability to understand complex technology-driven initiatives and programs).

They are able to communicate effectively across teams, think analytically, are a strong financial analyst, well-organized, take initiative, and deliver results with minimal supervision. This candidate is proactive, anticipates needs, and is biased for action in helping the team achieve our goals.

• Support AWD's product and tech leadership as a finance partner, providing financial analysis and insights that contribute to product roadmap discussions, policy decisions, and investment prioritization
• Own and maintain financial reporting for the AWD business area. Understand input drivers and validate data integrity to support strategic decision‑making and long‑range planning. Leverage data to surface insights and deliver actionable analysis to business leaders
• Support the end‑to‑end financial planning (OP1/OP2), forecasting, and month‑end close processes for AWD's P&L, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of deliverables
• Prioritize Controllership by identifying and escalating complex data integrity issues. Support the strengthening of controls to mitigate financial risk and reinforce frugality
• Help educate business partners on financial and non‑financial trade‑offs. Exercise sound judgment in ambiguous environments where data may be scarce or difficult to procure
• Support the financial evaluation of new product launches, geographic expansion, and policy changes—collecting and analyzing data to develop insightful reporting that drives business performance improvement and cost reduction
• Communicate data clearly, concisely, and unambiguously—both written and verbal. Adapt style across audiences to explain complex finance topics with clarity
• Contribute to W /M /Q  financial narratives for senior leadership, translating operational and financial data into clear, actionable insights
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners (Operations Finance, Accounting, FBA business teams) to support alignment on financial treatment, reserves, and cost allocation

The WW FBA Product & Tech Finance team is a specialized Finance team embedded within the SPS Finance (WW Stores Finance) organization.
