As an Account Specialist within BMO’s Customer Shared Services, you review delinquent, high risk, and written-off accounts for collection opportunities. You advise customers on payment strategies and products, manage escalated requests, and support loss mitigation processes. The work also includes customer communications, transaction processing, reporting, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Review accounts and analyze collection probability
Advise customers on payment and collections strategies
Execute loss mitigation processes for high risk accounts
Handle incoming calls professionally and efficiently
Escalate complex customer situations when required
Requirements:
Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of applicable guidelines, requirements, and regulations
Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations
Ability to prepare reports and dashboards
Ability to complete accurate customer documentation
