Job Title:
Manager/Sr. Manager or Director (depending on relevant experience)

Responsibilities
  • Lead major Environmental Assessments (provincial and federal) as the client’s strategic advisor and owner’s representative
  • Oversee EA technical teams, including QA/QC of EA deliverables, schedules, and regulatory processes
  • Provide senior‑level strategic advice on permitting, regulatory risk, Indigenous relations, government relations, and stakeholder engagement
  • Develop and implement integrated regulatory and permitting strategies that align technical, Indigenous, government, and public dimensions
  • Lead proactive regulatory engagement, including managing regulator relationships and advocating for fair, timely permitting outcomes
  • Support and lead Indigenous engagement initiatives, including negotiations of partnerships and agreements in support of responsible development
  • Design and execute government relations and public affairs strategies for complex projects
  • Oversee corporate reputation, issues management, and crisis response on behalf of clients
  • Lead stakeholder and public engagement programs, including coalition‑building, advocacy, consultation, and communications
  • Act as a senior leader, reinforcing the firm’s brand, culture, and strategic approach
  • Support business development through networking, proposal development, client pitches, and relationship building
  • Lead, mentor, and manage team members, supporting professional development, performance, and day‑to‑day execution
Qualifications
  • Post‑secondary degree in a relevant discipline (environmental, regulatory, planning, policy, or related field)
  • 8+ years of senior experience in environmental assessment, permitting, or regulatory consulting within Canada
  • Strong understanding of provincial and federal environmental assessment and government decision‑making processes
  • Experience across one or more of the following sectors:
    Mining, Energy, Infrastructure, Resource or community development
  • Demonstrated experience working with provincial and federal EA processes (as proponent, consultant, or regulator)
  • Strong background in Indigenous engagement, including knowledge of Canadian Indigenous rights, title, and relevant jurisprudence
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with regulators, government officials, Indigenous groups, industry partners, and stakeholders
  • Experience developing and executing government relations and permitting strategies
  • Demonstrated client leadership, project management, and account management experience
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and managing professional teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to varied audiences
  • Proven negotiation, facilitation, and mediation skills
  • Business development experience and a track record of client acquisition considered a strong asset

Salary: $150,000-$200,000 | Bonuses | Paid Vacation | Benefits
