Climate Policy Analyst Position in BC

You will play a critical role in supporting UBCIC’s mandates as a Climate Policy Analyst. Your responsibilities will involve conducting in-depth research, and collaborating with various stakeholders to implement climate strategies effectively. Engaging with political landscapes and developing written materials will be key to informing and guiding the UBCIC Chiefs Council.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic climate policy advice to UBCIC leadership
• Collaborate on climate initiatives with First Nations
• Track and analyze political developments affecting Indigenous policies
• Create thorough documentation like briefing notes and resolutions
• Coordinate essential meetings and events for UBCIC
Requirements:
• Degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science
• 3-5 years working with First Nations on climate issues
• Strong communication and research capabilities
• Familiarity with MS Office and related software tools
• Proven record of facilitating discussions and events
Contribute your expertise to enhance climate activism and empower First Nations communities with UBCIC.
