This role involves executing a provincial engagement plan and supporting community initiatives that address discrimination and injustice. You will work closely with public, Indigenous, and nonprofit stakeholders to enhance accessibility to human rights information and ensure alignment with strategic priorities. Building strong relationships will be crucial for effective program planning and support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate community engagements and Commissioner events
• Maintain detailed stakeholder engagement plans
• Implement stakeholder relationship management software
• Respond to public inquiries and information requests
• Engage with communities to inform BCOHRC’s strategies
Requirements:
• Degree in relevant field like communications or political science
• At least three years’ experience in stakeholder and public relations
• Hands-on experience with engagement event planning
• Facility with complex societal issues
• Commitment to decolonizing methodologies and practices
Drive impactful change in human rights as a key advisor in BC.
