Emergency Management Specialist YVR

Be an integral part of YVR’s safety efforts as an Emergency Management Specialist. Your focus will be on delivering comprehensive emergency preparedness training and managing critical plans.

In this permanent, full-time role, you will lead YVR’s Emergency Management Program, working with various federal and provincial agencies. This position requires a strong leader to develop training programs and coordinate emergency responses across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead incident evaluations and stakeholder engagement

• Develop work plans for emergency response gaps

• Deliver training for YVR staff and emergency partners

• Enhance collaborative response capacity with community partners

• Create impactful training content with innovative approaches

Requirements:

• Minimum three years’ operational experience; two in emergency roles

• Expertise in adult training and public presentations

• Comprehensive knowledge of emergency management best practices

• Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
