Join the City of Vancouver as a Policy Analyst focused on archaeological management. Utilize your expertise to enhance community services and engage with diverse stakeholders in a hybrid role.
You will contribute significantly to developing and managing policies that uphold cultural resource management. This role encompasses preparing presentations, consulting with First Nations, and addressing archaeological impacts on park projects. A strong sense of integrity and communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop new policies related to cultural resource management
• Consult with external stakeholders and negotiate solutions
• Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports and presentations
• Manage resource data and archive research projects
• Represent the Park Board at industry events
Requirements:
• Degree in archaeology or related field;
Master’s preferred
• Significant experience in local government settings
• Familiarity with municipal, provincial, and federal regulations
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License required
