• College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
• or equivalent experience

3 years to less than 5 years

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

• Urban area
• Barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio

• Advise clients on beauty care treatments
• Analyze hair and scalp condition
• Book appointments
• Cut and trim hair according to client s instructions or preferences
• Provide custom hair and scalp treatment
• Shampoo customers  hair
• Provide other hair treatments, such as waving, straightening and tinting and also provide scalp conditioning massages
• Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair
• Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair
• Suggest hairstyle compatible with client s physical features and preferences
• Perform receptionist duties

Hair styling techniques:
Blow drying, Iron waving/curling, Permanents, Roller setting

• Hair colouring techniques:
  Bleach, Dyes/tints, Streaking/highlights

• Personal suitability:
  Client focus, Efficient interpersonal skills, Excellent oral communication, Flexibility, Reliability, Team player
