Lifemark Physiotherapy Keefer Place clinic is located in Downtown Vancouver, BC. The Keefer Place clinic is centrally located in Downtown Vancouver, close to the Sky Train, one block from Rogers Arena and across the street from International Village.

The clinic, on the second floor of the building and above T&T, has served the community since 1979. We treat complex orthopedics, injuries, chronic and persistent pain, and provide physiotherapy, acupuncture, concussion and vestibular therapy, occupational therapy & counselling, and other holistic nutrition services. Vancouver offers a balanced backdrop of work and recreation.

Your impact

Our OTs provide both individual and program-based treatments and assessments for individuals recovering from motor vehicle accidents and workplace injuries. They support veterans, Canadian Armed Forces members, first responders, and individuals pursuing physical, cognitive and mental wellness goals. In this role, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based Occupational Therapy services to clients
  • Apply clinical expertise in assessment, intervention, consultation, case management, discharge planning, education, and follow-up
  • Perform clinical evaluations, including admission assessments, ADL assessments, and specialized seating and positioning assessments
  • Identify appropriate equipment needs with initial recommendations
  • Consult with local vendors regarding equipment trials and complete applications/funding letters to the Ministry of Health, insurance agencies and other funding parties
  • Educate on seating and positioning, independence with activities of daily living, wheelchairs and adaptive aids; provide ongoing education to clients and families to improve function, independence and safety
  • Provide ongoing evaluation of restraint use, wound prevention, falls, and injury prevention
  • Record assessment and treatment interventions in the client’s chart
  • Excel in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
  • Exhibit sound professional judgment

As one of the largest networks of OTs in the nation, you will work within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment, delivering high-quality, client-centred care across multiple clinics or specific clinics and community settings. Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of current Occupational Therapy standards, modalities and scope of practice; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia
  • 2-7 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist with a focus on PCMP & CRP program is a plus
  • Newly licensed graduates are welcome to apply
Other requirements
  • Clinical experience in areas such as brain injury/neurological rehabilitation, mental health, musculoskeletal/orthopedic injury, home safety, ergonomics and/or return to work is an asset
  • Passion for your profession and commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Superior interpersonal relations, communication, problem-solving, time management, computer and documentation skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
