Hours:
Office Hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday according to the Holy Family School Calendar.

Rate of Pay:
Commensurate with training and experience

Required Skills/Training:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent academic training and experience.
  • Eligible for membership and licensed by the College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CSASK) and the Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC).
  • Previous experience in a school setting would be an asset.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Experience with Clevr or other student services databases and Google are an asset.

Duties:

  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary team, responsible for providing services for our schools. Involves working within a responsive school environment to provide services using direct, consultative, and collaborative methods.
  • Assessment of a variety of speech and language disorders.
  • Direct and/or supervised treatment in the classroom, small groups, or individually.
  • Regular meetings with school based teams.
  • Facilitate program planning through consultation with teachers, professionals, and paraprofessionals.
  • Consultation with parents to provide information on their child’s involvement on the Speech and Language Caseload.
  • Providing professional development to staff in order to build capacity as needed.
  • Work with students who have high level intensive needs.
  • Work with and train staff in the use of Assistive Technology.
  • Ongoing concise record keeping and caseload management.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity and understanding of the practices of the Roman Catholic Faith
  • Recent (within 6 months) Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check upon employment
