Position: Residential Care Worker | Casual - #2219

We are looking for recent graduates and experienced direct support workers to join our team! If you passionate about caring for others and making a difference in the community, we would love to hear from you. The Developmental Disabilities Association (DDA) has been a leader for advocacy and inclusion in BC for families with special needs since 1952, and now we need you.

Casual Residential Care Worker (RCW) positions are available in our Vancouver and Richmond group homes, supporting residents’ physical, emotional, social, and recreational needs. $26.83 - $29.76 + 10.6% in lieu of benefits as per the collective agreement(2024 rates, implementation of new collective agreement is in process, and new wage rates $28.46 to $31.57 will be implemented once funding is received)

Requirements/Education/Experience
  • Degree or Diploma in an area directly related to supporting people with developmental disabilities, such as Social Services, Human Services, or Education
  • 1-2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, or related equivalent experience
  • Experience with, or training in, areas of adaptive communication, positive behaviour support, and community care is an asset
  • Valid First Aid/CPR upon start date
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Willingness to obtain a Class 4 Unrestricted Driver's License
  • Satisfactory Driver's Abstract
  • Criminal Record Clearance
  • TB Test Clearance
  • Medical clearance
  • Demonstrated competency in English, written, and oral communication
  • Eligible to work in Canada
