Recreation Therapist for Women's Health

As a Recreation Therapist at PHSA, you will work within an evidence-based, trauma-informed model to create impactful recreational experiences for women. You will plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic recreation programs while fostering participation in activities tailored to clients' needs.

Your role is essential in supporting recovery from mental health issues, substance use, and trauma while maintaining patient and employee safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and evaluate recreational programs for clients

• Foster leisure participation based on individual abilities

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals during team conferences

• Manage community recreational outings and client transport

• Maintain safety standards for recreational equipment and environment

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Therapeutic Recreation or related field

• Eligible for BCTRA and CTRA membership

• Two years’ experience in mental health or substance use

• Valid Class IV B.C. Driver’s Licence

• Valid C.P.R. Certificate
