• - Provide personal care to patients proactively and with compassion;
• - Caring for clients with disabilities, Dementia, intellectual disabilities;
• - Assist with daily living activities, such as grooming, dressing and bathing;
• - Plan and prepare meals;
• - Help with patient mobility and transfers;
• - Perform light household duties, such as cleaning, laundry and washing dishes;
• - Practices universal precautions and adheres to WHMIS protocols;
• - Recognizes and reports safety concerns or equipment malfunction in the home environment and acts accordingly to meet the safety and protection needs of the client;
• - Able to establish communication with appropriate sources in response to emergencies;
• - Observes, documents, and reports any emotional and physical changes in the Client's condition to the Client Care Manager;
• - Answer call signals; supply and tidy bathrooms; bathe, dress and groom patients; prepare and serve meal trays, feed or assist in feeding of patients and assist patients with menu selection;
• - Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients; shave clients;
• - Supervise patients' exercise routines, set up and provide leisure activities for patients, accompany patients on outside recreational activities;
• - Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort.
