Relief Pharmacist for Northern Healthcare

Make an impact in healthcare with The North West Company as a Contract Relief Pharmacist. This position focuses on community care, servicing patients in Northern Canada’s remote areas.

We are looking for dedicated pharmacists for term assignments who hold a valid pharmacy license, preferably in Manitoba. Responsibilities include accurately filling prescriptions, advising patients on medications, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. Your expertise will help enhance healthcare access in rural communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fill prescriptions swiftly and safely according to standards

• Document and counsel patients on medication use

• Maintain patient confidentiality and medication records

• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals

• Supervise pharmacy staff performance and report preparation

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy

• Licensed by the relevant Provincial College of Pharmacists

• Working knowledge of Kroll and pharmacy software

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities

• Ability to work with minimal supervision
