Medical Device Technician at St. Paul's Hospital

Take on the crucial role of Medical Device Reprocessing Technician l's Hospital in Vancouver. This onsite position focuses on cleaning, sterilizing, and distributing medical devices to support surgical practices.

As part of Providence Health Care, you will ensure that surgical instruments and supplies are ready for operating rooms and other clinical units. Candidates must have grade 12 education and completion of a Sterile Supply Processing course. Recent relevant experience is preferred, emphasizing knowledge in medical terminology and operational equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and decontaminate surgical instruments using established protocols

• Assemble, package, sterilize, and distribute medical devices

• Respond to urgent OR requests during surgical procedures

• Maintain records and perform clerical duties as needed

• Ensure a safe and organized work environment

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education and a Sterile Supply Processing certificate

• One year of related experience preferred

• Knowledge of surgical and medical terminology

• Effective verbal and written communication skills
