Spiritual Care Assistant Chaplain

As an Assistant Chaplain at Hopehill, you'll partner with the Lead Chaplain in delivering essential spiritual care. This role focuses on forming supportive relationships, guiding residents through life challenges while fostering a sense of community. You will participate in developing programs that enhance spiritual wellness and invite churches to broaden Hopehill's reach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop deep, trusting relationships with residents for support

• Offer spiritual care through illness, grief, or transitions

• Conduct hospital, hospice, and memorial visits as needed

• Assist new residents in connecting to community life

• Engage in worship services and grief support sessions

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in Ministry or equivalent experience

• 3-5 years in pastoral care or chaplaincy experience

• 1-2 years working specifically with seniors

• Strong interpersonal and organizational capabilities

• Bilingual in Mandarin/Cantonese preferred for resident needs
