Position: Health and Safety Inspector Island
Take on a critical role with Island Health as an Environmental Health Officer in Campbell River, BC. This temp full-time position emphasizes public safety through rigorous inspections and regulatory enforcement.

As part of the Vancouver Island Health Authority, you'll work in diverse environments, both urban and rural. The role requires investigating health-related complaints, monitoring food establishments, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough inspections of various public health establishments

• Investigate public complaints regarding safety and compliance

• Monitor compliance with water and sewage disposal regulations

• Enforce health and safety by-laws effectively

• Build relationships with relevant stakeholders and community members

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health or equivalent

• Public Health Inspection Certificate from Canada

• Relevant BC Driver's License

• At least three years of applicable experience

• Excellent organizational and communication skills
