Clinical Educator – Type Diabetes | British Columbia & Alberta

We are partnering with a leading international healthcare company to recruit a Clinical Educator – Type 1 Diabetes to support patients and healthcare professionals across British Columbia and Alberta
.

This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse, dietitian, or diabetes professional who combines strong clinical expertise with a passion for patient education, diabetes technology and improving quality of life
.

In this role, you will become a trusted clinical resource for patients and healthcare professionals, helping them confidently adopt and use innovative diabetes management technologies.

You will:

• Educate and support patients in the use of diabetes management technologies, including insulin delivery solutions
• Provide personalized follow-up, education and ongoing support to users
• Train and educate healthcare professionals on available technologies and solutions
• Partner with endocrinologists, diabetes nurses, dietitians and other healthcare professionals to optimize the patient experience
• Support the adoption of clinical best practices in Type 1 diabetes management
• Build strong relationships with diabetes clinics and healthcare professionals across your territory
• Stay current on developments in diabetes care, insulin delivery and diabetes technology

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Nutrition/Dietetics, or another relevant healthcare discipline
• Registered and in good standing with the appropriate professional regulatory body in British Columbia or Alberta
• At least 1 year of experience working with Type 1 diabetes
  , ideally within a diabetes clinic or a diabetes-focused clinical role
• Strong knowledge of diabetes management and patient education
• Experience with insulin pumps, CGM and/or automated insulin delivery technologies is highly desirable
• Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) designation is an asset
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
• Comfortable working independently and engaging with patients and healthcare professionals across a territory
