In your role as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist 1, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while ensuring patient wellbeing throughout. Responsibilities include using advanced imaging technology, monitoring patients, and adhering to quality control measures. You will also manage the disposal of radioactive materials securely and in compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform imaging and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures
• Prepare and dispel radiopharmaceuticals safely
• Conduct routine quality tests on imaging equipment
• Monitor patients effectively during examinations
• Adhere to radiation safety and disposal guidelines
Requirements:
• CAMRT certification in Nuclear Medicine required
• BCLS CPR certification necessary
• Graduate from an accredited nuclear medicine technology program
• One year of nuclear medicine experience preferred
• Familiarity with Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission standards
