Elder Care Provider

We are a family in Vancouver, BC, adding on to our team of compassionate and dedicated companion care providers on a part-time, live-out basis. While his daughter lives with dad, your primary goal is to provide cognitive stimulation, mobility/strength training and companionship for our beloved 96 year old dad. We are looking for someone who is not only experienced in mild dementia care but also enjoys engaging in conversation, participating in activities, and providing companionship.

You will accompany our dad for a meal or snack, engage in meaningful conversation, encourage and lead him in some strength and mobility training in the gym, or go outside for some fresh air. If you can record some of his stories while he still remembers them, that would be bonus. While engaging with our dad, you will provide daily reminders, ensure his safety, and maintain a warm, supportive environment.

The position offers a competitive pay rate of $25 per hour. We value a flexible schedule of 2-3 hour blocks based on his energy level.
