Join Vancouver Coastal Health as a Total Care Worker at UBC Hospital's Short Term Assessment and Treatment Centre. Engage clients in daily living activities and support their rehabilitation journey.
In this essential role, you will assist an interdisciplinary team, helping clients aged 65 and older with various health concerns. Your responsibilities include facilitating leisure activities, supporting daily skills, tracking client progress, and providing personal care. You will also perform nursing procedures under supervision, contributing to a holistic care model focused on client well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Registered Nurses and Therapists in client care
• Facilitate individual and group leisure activities
• Support clients in practicing daily living skills
• Observe and report on client progress regularly
• Perform nursing tasks like administering medication
Requirements:
• Grade 12 completion or equivalent
• Graduate from a Resident Care Attendant Program
• At least 2 years of relevant experience
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Physical ability to perform job duties
