Music Therapist Coastal Health

Enhance patient care as a Music Therapist at Vancouver Coastal Health in Vancouver, BC. Develop, implement, and evaluate impactful music therapy programs within a supportive framework.

This role focuses on creating music therapy initiatives that promote patient and family-centered care. As a key team member, you'll maintain an active clinical caseload and provide assessment, treatment, and education. Your contributions will help shape client interactions and bolster interdisciplinary collaborations while supporting VCH’s commitments to equity and diversity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement tailored music therapy programs

• Maintain an active clinical caseload with assessments and treatment

• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and research

• Supervise and evaluate music therapy practicum students

• Collaborate on operational matters related to therapy services

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Music Therapy

• Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association for Music Therapy

• One year of relevant music therapy experience

• Strong communication skills across formats

• Knowledge of Trauma Informed and Harm Reduction practices
