As a Mental Health Nurse at VCH, you'll work within the Acute Home Treatment program, adhering to client and family-centered care models. Your expertise will be crucial in conducting assessments and implementing treatment plans for clients experiencing urgent mental health and substance use issues. Collaborating with diverse teams, you will support client recovery both in-home and during transitions from hospital care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct mental health and addiction assessments for urgent cases
• Develop crisis intervention and treatment plans
• Provide immediate support and referrals for clients in crisis
• Collaborate with primary care and mental health teams
• Educate clients and family members about care options
Requirements:
• Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse
• 3 years of related experience in mental health treatment
• Knowledge of crisis stabilization practices
• Valid BC Driver's License for travel
• Commitment to culturally safe care
