The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Dev Ops Engineer (Senior Software Engineer I) to join our Flow Platform team and help evolve our cloud and developer platforms in Canada. In this hybrid role, with one to two days in office per week. You’ll take ownership of key infrastructure components, lead technical projects, and mentor junior engineers while contributing to the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our platform.

You’ll work closely with engineering, security, and product teams to deliver solutions that empower developers to build, deploy, and operate software with confidence and speed

What You'll Do

Design and implement scalable infrastructure on AWS using infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Cloud Formation, Pulumi, CDK, Ansible, Chef etc.

  • Lead medium-to-large platform initiatives, from planning through execution and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, or
    ArgoCD.
  • Improve developer experience by building and enhancing internal platform tools and
    services.
  • Drive automation to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
  • Mentor intermediate engineers and co-ops, providing guidance through code reviews,
    design discussions, and technical coaching.
  • Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortems to improve system
    reliability.
  • Collaborate across teams to align infrastructure and platform capabilities with engineering
    needs.
  • Contribute to platform observability, including monitoring, alerting, and SLO/SLA
    tracking.
  • Participate in hiring efforts, including technical interviews and onboarding support
    • What You'll Bring
  • 5–8 yearsof experience in software engineering, Dev Ops, or platform engineering roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with

    AWSand cloud-native services.
  • Proficiency ininfrastructure-as-code(e.g., Terraform, Cloud Formation, Pulumi).
  • Solid experience with

    CI/CD pipelinesand deployment automation.
  • Strong knowledge ofDockerand

    Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python,Bash, or similar.
  • Experience with Linux systemsand system-level debugging.
  • Familiarity withobservability tools(e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Cloud Watch).
  • Exposure toAI developer tools(e.g., Git Hub Copilot, Amazon Q Dev, Claude, Cursor).
  • Understanding ofsecurity and compliancebest practices (e.g., SOC2, PCI, ISO).
  • Expected Salary: 120, CAD

  • Exposure toautonomous workflows,AI agents, orMCPs.
  • Familiarity withcost optimizationin cloud environments.
  • Experience with security and artifact management tools(e.g., Snyk, Mend, JFrog, Wiz).

  • OTEL integrations and dashboards
  • Experience in Kafka, Data pipelines, and any graph technologies such as Neptune etc
