As the IT Operations Specialist reporting to the Director of Technology, you will ensure our team members have the reliable tools they need to support our residents. We are looking for a professional with a Service‑First Mindset and a strong desire to learn. In this role, you will balance hands‑on technical support with a drive for efficiency. Your primary focus will be on ensuring operational stability and rigorous asset management, while using automation to modernise our workflows.
Over time, you will also cross‑train to support critical community infrastructure.
- Logistics & Asset Accountability: Take full ownership of the hardware lifecycle (aligned with IT Resources Policy). This includes maintaining rigorous inventory accuracy for laptops/mobile devices, managing seamless shipping logistics to remote communities, and ensuring Support Office environments are always standardised and ready‑for‑use.
- Systems Administration: Manage the full lifecycle of Windows/iOS/Android devices using Intune, Autopilot and Apple Business Manager (DEP/VPP). Act as the L2/L3 escalation point for complex technical issues. Administer Entra , network standards and security policies.
- Security & Compliance (SOX): Conduct quarterly User Access Reviews to support SOX ITGC monitoring. Ensure all activities comply with Cyber Security, Privacy Breach Management and IT Conduct policies.
- Automation & Efficiency: Identify manual "toil" and eliminate it by writing Power Shell/Graph scripts. Maintain Power Automate flows (using service accounts) to process Employee Change Form (ECF) notifications for automated provisioning and deprovisioning.
- Network Operations: Maintain site connectivity according to Optima Network Standards (SSIDs, VLANs, SD‑WAN) and coordinate with vendors to ensure stable internet for our residents and teams.
- Project Leadership: Independently scope and execute small technical projects (e.g., Wi‑Fi upgrades or site improvements).
- Strategic Support: Assist the Director, Technology with major system rollouts and strategic initiatives as directed.
- Professional Growth: Learn and eventually support community-specific infrastructure, including Nurse Call, VoIP Telephony and Mobile Handsets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- 6+ years in IT Systems Administration or Operations in a multi‑site environment.
- Relevant Microsoft 365 Certifications (Associate or Expert level preferred).
- Deep hands‑on expertise in M365 (Intune, Entra , SharePoint, Exchange).
- Proven ability to use logic and scripting (Power Shell, Power Automate) to solve admin problems.
- Demonstrated experience managing physical inventory, shipping and asset tracking with high accuracy.
- Structured thinker, eager learner and strong communicator.
- Ability to troubleshoot SSO and client‑side dependencies for applications such as Dayforce, Yardi or Welcome Home.
- Experience holding managed service providers (MSPs) accountable to SLAs as an asset.
- Clear Police Information Check.
