SUMMARY OF POSITIONReporting to the Vancouver Campus Controller, the Institutional Research Analyst plays a crucial role in serving the mission and strategy of the Vancouver Campus and supporting institutional effectiveness by providing technical, analytic, and coordinative support for institutional research and reporting. Duties will primarily include data organization, business and accreditation report development, survey design and implementation, and data analysis.
This role will also include institutional assessment, qualitative and quantitative research design and implementation, data collection, process development, and analysis of information in support of academic program accreditation projects and institutional planning.
This position will work collaboratively with colleagues across university departments at the Vancouver Campus and the New Jersey campuses to strengthen the institution’s efforts towards data quality and integrity, data process and policy development, and strategic support for data accessibility.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitatively driven discipline (math, statistics, computer science) or other appropriately quantitative academic discipline (e.g., sociology, economics, psychology) required. Master’s degree in such fields preferred.
- Three or more years of demonstrated success in institutional research, business analytics, enrollment management, financial aid, or another data-driven administrative or information management office.
- Substantial experience using statistical analysis software and data visualization applications including Tableau and Tableau Prep, R for Statistics, MS Excel, and MS Power BI. Examples of statistical analyses and/or dashboards will be required.
