The Opportunity

We are seeking a Manager, Solutions Architecture (AWS & GenAI) to build and lead a high-performing technical team while defining the future of our delivery capabilities.

This is a true “player-coach” role. You will not only hire and mentor the next generation of SAs but also remain hands-on in our most complex engagements. You will be the technical bridge between Sales, Delivery, and AWS, ensuring our pipeline is healthy, our win rates are high, and our customers are adopting the most innovative capabilities AWS has to offer—specifically in Generative AI and Agentic workflows.

What

You’ll Do
  • Build & Lead a High-Performance Team
    • Recruit & Retain: Hire top-tier Solutions Architect talent, defining clear success profiles and career paths that attract the best in the industry.
    • Culture of Excellence: Foster a high-performance culture centered on accountability, continuous feedback, and outcome-focused delivery.
    • Operational Rhythm: Run regular 1:1s, deal reviews, and coaching sessions to sharpen the team’s architectural authority and commercial acumen.
    • Metrics that Matter: Manage team KPIs (pipeline influence, win rate, MSP attach, NPS) that directly align with VeUP’s aggressive growth targets.
  • Serve as Principal Architect & Player-Coach
    • Strategic Leadership: Act as the senior technical lead on high-stakes opportunities, designing complex architectures for Data and GenAI (e.g., Bedrock, RAG pipelines, Agentic AI).
    • "Art of the Possible": Lead discovery workshops and design sessions that translate abstract client needs into secure, scalable, and profitable technical roadmaps.
    • Commercial Design: Own the technical inputs for SoWs and proposals, structuring engagements (Projects, MSP, PoCs) that balance customer value with sustainable margins.
  • AWS Ecosystem & Partner Alignment
    • Program Optimization: Operationalize AWS funding programs (MAP, POC funding, Startup credits) to strengthen business cases without relying on them solely for the sale.
    • Playbook Creation: Convert “tribal knowledge” of AWS incentives into structured playbooks and templates, allowing the sales team to move faster and with more confidence.
    • Tier & Competency Management: Drive the strategy for maintaining our AWS Advanced Tier status, coordinating the certifications and case studies required for new Competencies (GenAI, Migration, Data).
  • Executive Advisory & Cross-Functional Impact
    • Trusted Advisor: Lead customer steering committees, partnering with C-suite stakeholders to shape multi-quarter cloud and AI innovation roadmaps.
    • Sales Alignment: Partner with Sales and Customer Success leadership to ensure comprehensive pipeline coverage and rigorous deal qualification.
    • Delivery Handshake: Collaborate with Delivery and MSP leaders to ensure "sales promises" become "delivery realities," focusing on operability, security, and cost-optimization.
What You Bring

Experience & Track Record

  • 10–12+ years of experience in engineering and presales/solutions architecture, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or mentorship capacity.
  • Partner Experience: Proven success working within the AWS Partner Ecosystem (Consulting Partner, MSP, or ISV), with a deep understanding of how to leverage AWS programs to drive revenue.
  • Commercial Impact: A demonstrated track record of influencing revenue, closing deals, and expanding accounts through technical consultation.
