Senior Designer

Overview

Teifi Digital is seeking a Senior UX Designer to join our team on a 9-month contract (with potential for extension). We’re looking for an experienced UX generalist who brings curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and a passion for designing thoughtful digital experiences that serve both clients and their customers.

You’ll take end-to-end ownership of complex design projects, and collaborate across functions to create innovative, user-centered Shopify themes, mobile apps, and digital tools.

• Own and lead full design phases from discovery, research, strategy, and wireframes to prototyping, testing, documentation, and QA.
• Design digital experiences including custom Shopify themes for clients, Shopify apps, Shopify POS experiences, mobile apps, and more, ensuring accessibility, usability, and consistency across all states and screens.
• Present to and collaborate cross-functionally with clients, PMs, developers, and fellow designers to deliver clear rationale, high-quality design solutions, and organized files within scope, budget, and timeline.
• Maintain and improve design systems, libraries, and workflows.
• Guide and review work by other designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering growth.
• Support pre-sales efforts, helping scope, quote, plan, and merchandise design projects and services alongside Design and Sales team members.
• Contribute to our culture and processes, bringing new tools, ideas, and approaches to elevate team performance.
• Travel occasionally for domestic or international client meetings/workshops as needed.

• 4+ years of professional experience in designing interfaces across web and mobile apps.
• BA/BS degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction (HCI) or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• A portfolio showcasing UI/UX design work and problem-solving skills.
• Deep understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and visual design fundamentals.
• Experience with user research, accessible design, responsive design, and design systems.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating great user experiences.
• Excellent time management skills. Able to work autonomously and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills. Able to articulate and defend design decisions to stakeholders and clients, while valuing open, honest feedback and the perspectives of others in pursuit of the best solution.
• Fluency in Figma.
