User Experience Designer
Overview
The User Experience Designer supports the Digital Team in developing and executing the UX strategy and vision for Armstrong Collective’s digital and ecommerce experiences, working to create exceptional experience for our guests and partners across all digital touchpoints. This role will work collaboratively with the digital team, product, and developers/engineers to identify and prioritize opportunities to drive online revenue, improve conversion rates and brand perception.
The position is responsible for the development of UX designs, including research, success criteria definition, user goals and needs, wireframes, prototypes, and testing and defining functional specifications. The role will create and execute on-going A/B and MVT tests to optimize website flows, lead funnels, and landing pages to drive conversion.
User Experience & Design
- Design and create a cohesive user experience for all our guest- and partner-facing platforms for a wide range of devices (including mobile).
- Develop design initiatives that align with the digital experience roadmap; where needed, including a summary of UX and UI designs and requirements.
- Manage timelines for development and implementation of new initiatives and deliverables.
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of UX designs, user interaction and user flow requirements. This includes:
- Assessing and reviewing customer feedback and UX data for function, and design features that are centered around user needs, are aligned with business goals, are on-brand and are technically feasible.
- Presenting ideas, concepts and designs, research findings and customer insights, user needs, and design rationale to multidisciplinary teams, as well as to key stakeholders and business partners.
- Designing and implementing supporting research, scenarios, wireframes, prototypes, testing and defining functional specifications.
- Review designs with IT, Product & Development team to support technical implementation details; they will be the final approver and define the success criteria.
- Review completed implementation from the development team and provide detailed feedback on completed work.
- Document design and technical implementation on all key platforms e.g. Global Website, Guest Portal, Agent Portal
- Translate UX concepts and flows into UI designs, including visual layouts, interaction states, and responsive behaviors, ensuring designs are on-brand, accessible, and ready for development handoff.
- Discover opportunities to enhance and evolve our user experience through usability research and working collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, and Product.
- Collaborate with Customer Experience & Research and Product to discover and convert customer insights into solutions to enhance our web experience.
- Provide knowledge of responsive design, component systems, and interaction design, with a proven ability to work within or build scalable design systems and component libraries.
- Maintain industry standards and best-practices of UX and UI designs across all digital platforms and stakeholder touchpoints.
Identifying Customer Roadblocks And Design Solutions
- Work as a key member of the digital team to identify consumer pain-points and potential solutions for improved consumer & guest experiences.
- Lead the design of potential solutions, collaborating with digital marketing, engineers, researchers, and product managers to ensure designs are meeting objectives, are tested, and are iterated upon to further improve user experience.
Brand & Content Design Guidelines And Best Practices
- Lead content design and content strategy for digital experiences (including website, portals, and conversion journeys), ensuring content structure, hierarchy, messaging, and flows support user needs, usability, and business objectives.
- Collaborate with Brand and Content teams to align digital experiences with established brand strategy and voice, while independently translating those principles into effective digital content experiences.
