SDEs at Amazon work on real‑world problems on a global scale, own their systems end to end, and influence the direction of our technology that impacts hundreds of millions of customers worldwide. At Amazon an SDE can expect to design flexible and scalable solutions, and work on some of the most complex challenges in large‑scale computing by utilizing skills in data structures, algorithms, and object‑oriented programming.

- 3+ years of non‑internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems
- 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent field

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon’s package may include other elements such as sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
