Job Description

As a mobile manual tester, you will validate mobile applications (iOS/Android) for functionality, usability, and performance to ensure a high-quality user experience. Key responsibilities include creating/executing test cases, bug tracking via Jira, performing regression tests, and testing across real devices or simulators. You will work closely with developers to analyze requirements and report defects.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Execution:
Execute manual test cases for functional, usability, regression, and UI testing on Android and iOS devices.

• Bug Reporting & Tracking:
Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like Jira, including steps to reproduce, screenshots, and logs.

• Environment Setup:
Set up and manage test environments, including simulators, emulators, and physical devices.

• Documentation:
Create detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test reports based on requirements and user stories.



Collaboration:

Work with developers, product managers, and UI/UX designers to understand requirements and verify fixes.

• Performance & Network Testing:
Test app performance under various network conditions and monitor resource usage.

Skills and Qualifications



Experience:

Proven experience (6+ years) in manual testing specifically for mobile applications.

• Mobile Platforms:
In-depth knowledge of iOS and Android OS, including limitations and design guidelines.

• Tools:
Familiarity with bug-tracking software (Jira), test management tools, and debugging tools (Xcode for iOS, Android Studio for Android).

• Testing Techniques:
Strong understanding of black-box, functional, system, and regression testing.

• API Testing:
Basic knowledge of API testing tools like Postman is a plus.

Attention to Detail:
Ability to meticulously follow test scripts and identify subtle UI/UX issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience in a fast-paced, Agile/Scrum development environment.
