Sr. Product Manager Technical, Amazon Private Brands Supply Chain Tech
This Sr. PMT role will own science and tech products to optimize Amazon Supply Chain for the Amazon Private Brands business. Amazon Private Brands has unique Supply Chain requirements compared to Amazon's Core Retail business due to its imports-heavy nature, long lead times, and direct supplier relationships. Lead times may require ordering 3–6 months in advance of customer demand. If stockouts occur, recovery can take multiple months, making accurate quantity planning critical.
Managing direct supplier relationships means providing suppliers visibility into future demand to help them plan raw material procurement and maintain production lines. These challenges also create opportunities for innovation on the Supply Chain front.
This is a high-impact role with the opportunity to drive millions of dollars in cost-savings and hundreds of millions of dollars in topline growth. The role requires a strong product manager with significant analytical and technical depth, a strong bias for action, the ability to bring cross-functional stakeholders together to deliver on shared goals, and excellent written and verbal communication.
About the teamThis team builds Science and Tech solutions to optimize Amazon Private Brands Supply Chain decisions to maximize long-term free cash flow. Example supply chain decisions include: which supplier to source from at what points in time, how much of a product to order from suppliers, how much of product to store at origin country vs. destination country, and how to maintain optimal inventory health balancing storage costs from overstock and lost sales from understock.
Responsibilities- Own science and tech products to optimize the Amazon Private Brands Supply Chain.
- Address imports-heavy constraints with long lead times and plan orders 3–6 months in advance of demand realization.
- Provide suppliers visibility into future demand to help plan raw material procurement and keep production lines running.
- Drive opportunities for cost-savings and topline growth through analytical and technical product leadership.
- Bring cross-functional stakeholders together to deliver on shared goals and communicate effectively across teams.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, operations research, business analytics, information systems or equivalent
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
- Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel and other tools
- Master's degree

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
