Reporting to the Director, Security Operations, the successful candidate will manage all hardware and software assets, ensuring the efficient use of resources and cost-effectiveness. This role will be an important part of Fasken’s overall strategy and will establish an asset management process (ITAM) to provide up-to-date information to reduce risks and optimize costs.
Hours of work are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET. Occasional pre-authorized overtime may be required to meet client needs. This is a hybrid role.

Asset Management Maintain an accurate inventory of all hardware and software assets Track and manage the lifecycle of assets, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and avoid over-licensing or under-licensingContract and Agreement Management Oversee contract renewals and manage vendor relationships to ensure the firm is receiving maximum value Monitor and analyze contract performance to identify cost-saving opportunities Provide regular reports to application & system owners on upcoming license and maintenance renewals Ensure timely renewals and adherence to contract termsVendor Management Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers Evaluate and select vendors based on service, quality, cost, and reliability Coordinate with internal governance teams on vendor risk managementInvoice & Cost Management Ensure proper coding and timely payment of IT invoices Identify and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency in asset utilization Applying Fin Ops best practices to monitor and analyze cloud environments and create recommendations based on budget, best practices, timelines, and goals Monitor, control, and assess budget alignment for expenditures related to hardware and software assets Provide regular reports on asset performance, usage, and cost-saving measuresPolicy and Procedure Development Develop and enforce policies and procedures for asset management Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to IT assets Train and educate staff on asset management best practicesRequired Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related fieldMinimum 3 years' experience in asset management, preferably within a law firm or corporate environmentStrong negotiation and vendor management skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesProficient in asset management software and toolsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPay Range
$78,000 – $88,000 per annum. Pay range to be commensurate with experience.
