We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux System Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our Linux infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on Red Head Enterprise Linux environments. You will play a critical role in ensuring system reliability, security, and performance while collaborating with multiple stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Administer, configure, and maintain Red Head Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems across the enterprise
- Manage and maintain Red Head Satellite infrastructure for system provisioning, configuration management, and lifecycle management
- Lead vulnerability management and patching initiatives to ensure system security and compliance
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and prioritize multiple deliverables with different stakeholders effectively
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members
- Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation and standard operating procedures
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and implement effective solutions
- Participate in on‑call rotation and respond to critical incidents as needed
- Strong Linux system administration experience, particularly with Red Head Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Proven experience with Red Head Satellite Administration (installation, configuration, content management, and system provisioning)
- Solid understanding of vulnerability management and patching processes
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences
- Exceptional ability to prioritize multiple deliverables and manage competing demands from different stakeholders
- Experience with system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Experience administering VMs in Microsoft Azure Cloud
- Proficiency in automating system administration tasks using Ansible
- Cisco ESX administration knowledge
- Familiarity with Kubernetes container orchestration
- Dev Ops practices and methodologies (CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code)
